Alumni Consulting Team (ACT)

Volunteer with other GSB alums and make use of your management skills by providing pro bono consulting services to social benefit organizations throughout the Bay Area.

Host a series of interviews with world changers, manage the production of a podcast series, or write for the podcast site.

SMIF

Hire an MBA student for a summer internship with your nonprofit, government agency, or social purpose business.

Attracting and Recruiting Prospects

Identify viable candidates and encourage them to apply; provide meeting space or financial sponsorship for MBA information
sessions; answer questions from prospect via email or telephone; serve as an alumni panelist at information sessions and share your pre- and post-GSB experiences.

Interviewing Applicants

Conduct one-on-one interviews in your local area or conduct interviews at Stanford.

Welcoming Admits

Attend an admit weekend alumni dinner at Stanford; contact admits and address their concerns and/or interest relevant to your experience; plan and host an alumni reception for admits in your local area.

Development

Advisory Council

Provide an external perspective while offering input on the strategic direction and overall objectives of the Business School and act as a consultant by providing the Dean with advice on a multitude of issues.*

GSB Management Board

Provide external perspective and advice to the GSB's senior management on the key operational issues of the School.*

GSB Trust

Manage about 20 percent of the GSB endowment in an alumni-led, independent investment fund.*

Leadership Council

Advise the Business School Fund staff on messages and strategies to achieve overall goals for annual and reunion giving.*

Reunion Fundraising

Assist with the fundraising efforts of your class to increase participation and encourage classmates to make a substantial gift.

Class Agent

Communicate with classmates through personal letters, emails, and phone calls to increase their involvement in development activities between reunion years.
