Event Details

In the spirit of giving back over the holiday season, we invite Stanford GSB alumni in the Bay Area to participate in a GSB Service Day at the San Francisco Food Bank. This organization provides donated and purchased food to over 600 non-profit agencies in the Bay Area. Our last volunteer project in September was a great success—read more here.

We will help get food ready to be distributed, which involves any of the following: sorting donations from food drives and grocery stores, repackaging bulk items into more useful portions, gleaning and boxing fresh produce, or stocking grocery shelves. In a single shift, you can work with food that will impact thousands throughout San Francisco.

You are encouraged to bring your family and friends to this event where we'll not only serve the community but connect with other GSB alumni in the area. Children 8 years old and up are welcome. Please wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or opened-toe shoes) and work clothes. A sweatshirt or extra layer is recommended, as the temperature in the warehouse is often quite cool. We hope you can join us!

Cost/Event Registration

This event is free but requires advance registration. Friends and family are welcome, though children must be at least 8 years old to participate. Register by December 1.
